I look outside while making tea and see 2 cardinals and a blue jay bathing in my flooded yard.
When I head outside with said tea and my camera all I find is this zebrabird with an axewound in its head.

Wow, he's a looker! I'd love to spot him in my yard.
Recently I've seen robins, but I didn't think they traveled so far east. It's neat! Haven't seen many of those since I lived in Calgary.

Yeah, they used to be so common in my life 'til I noticed they didn't really exist in NS - aside from in wildlife parks, along with magpies! So weird!
